The kitchen looks silvery-grey by moonlight. Perhaps the granite countertops are darker, the fridge less shiny, but otherwise it’s not much different from how it looks during the day, and his route is familiar enough to take in semi-darkness while still avoiding the hanging pans: no clanging copper to give him away.
